Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in planning, developing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting our organization’s database management system. The primary focus will be on ensuring optimal database integrity, security, backup, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain database architecture, data structures, tables, dictionaries, and naming conventions to ensure accuracy and completeness of all data master files.
  • Perform operational establishment and preventive maintenance of backups, recovery procedures, and enforce security and integrity controls.
  • Implement and administer database documentation, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Test database systems and upgrades, troubleshoot identified problems, and ensure resolution in accordance with approved quality testing scripts and processes.
  • Take responsibility for system security and disaster recovery planning, including liaising with security vendors, suppliers, and service providers.
  • Analyze, recommend, install, and maintain software security applications, monitoring contractual obligations, performance delivery, and service level agreements.
  • Provide service support in diagnosing, resolving, and repairing server-related hardware and software malfunctions across workstations and communication infrastructure.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, policies, instructions, and record operational procedures and system logs.
  • Ensure the design of computer sites allows seamless integration of components and monitors and adjusts network performance.
  • Survey current computer sites to determine future network needs and make recommendations for enhancements in the implementation of servers and networks.

Skill & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
  • Proficient in database management systems such as Oracle, MySQL, or Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with network design and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) a plus.
